Met-Track coach Josh Swaray reports on TLG Awards Night
Met-Track coach Josh Swaray has been delivering sessions at the TLG Hammersmith Centre since the beginning of this academic year. The school and the pupils have taken to Josh responding well to his sessions and mentoring advice, as a result of this he was invited as a special guest to the TLG group awards night on Thursday 24th November.
"The TLG Awards and fund raising evening was a great event celebrating the success of the students over the past year, there were some inspirational stories and remarkable turnarounds that these young people had gone through. There were four individual awards given out on the night including the resilience award and an award for outstanding achievement. It was a proud moment to see the work that is being done in the Met-Track sessions is helping these young people turn their life's around to positive effect. The emphasis of the sessions I deliver at TLG is to introduce a posited attitude towards the way these young people go about their lives, the use of sport help break down the barriers and provides a starting point to build upon. It has been clear to see the transformation in the change of ethos shown since the start of the year, the young people have become more like young adults showing respect for their elders and thinking of the effect of their actions on others."
